1) Utilize bearing working condition monitoring instruments
It is the most convenient and reliable method to use bearing spectrometers such as ferrometer or SPM or I-ID-1 bearing working condition monitoring equipment to judge the bearing working condition and decide when the bearing should be reported for repair.
For example, when using the HD-1 type instrument, when the pointer approaches the danger zone from the warning zone, and the pointer does not return after taking measures such as improved lubrication, it can be determined that it is the problem of the bearing itself. At the time, report the bearing for repair. Exactly how far from the danger zone to start repairing can be adjusted by experience.
With such an instrument, you can make full use of the working potential of the bearing, report the bearing for repair in time, and avoid failures, which is safe and economical.
2) Monitor with simple tools
When the above instruments are not available, the operator can hold a tool such as a round bar or a wrench against the part of the machine shell closest to the bearing, and shame his ears on the tool to monitor the running sound of the bearing from the tool. Of course, it can also be modified with a medical stethoscope .
The normal bearing operation sound should be uniform, stable and not harsh, while the abnormal bearing operation sound has various kinds of intermittent, impact or harsh sounds. First of all, you must get used to the normal bearing running sound, and then you can grasp the abnormal bearing running sound, and then through the accumulation of practical experience, you can further analyze what kind of abnormal sound corresponds to what kind of bearing abnormal phenomenon . There are many types of abnormal sounds of bearings, which are difficult to tell, mainly relying on experience accumulation.
When the bearing reaches the scrapping standard, we should directly replace the new bearing, and we must not replace it. Otherwise, the bearing will be scrapped, affecting the work, causing economic losses, and serious accidents.
